Odorless C13 14 isoparaffin isopar M for Electric discharge machining Oil
Product Description:
C13-14 isoparaffin fluid is a clear and odorless hydrocarbon solvent derived from petroleum. It has a boiling range of 230-270°C, and a flash point of 95°C (closed cup). This specific variant is composed of hydrocarbons with a carbon chain length ranging from C13 to C14, with an aromatic content lower than other isoparaffins.
Known for its low viscosity and high solvency, C13-14 Isoparaffin fluid is used in a variety of industries, including cosmetics, personal care products, and industrial applications. It is commonly used as a solvent in industrial cleaning and metalworking. Its low viscosity makes it an ideal choice for a wide range of processes requiring high solvency.

Features:
C13 14 isoparaffin is of high quality and has been specifically designed to be used as discharge machining oil. It has a high flashpoint, low viscosity and is colorless as well as odorless. In addition, this oil has an antioxidant feature. This oil filters easily, is not volatile and has a low corrosion level. Plus, heat is easily dissipated and it is very effective in increasing the life of the electrode, speeding up production and improving the surface efficiency when polishing. Also, the oil's low viscosity enables metal fragments to be submerged before the oil is circulated. As a result, later precipitation is prevented.
Applications:
Electric Discharge Machining Oil, which is also short for EDM fluid, is a metal removal process which involves removal of material from a work piece through a series of controlled electric discharges or sparks. Both the tool and the work piece are insulated with a specialized dielectric fluid.
These fluids are made with a highly refined, narrow cut paraffinic base stock that has excellent oxidation stability, which aids in preventing formation of oxidation products that will alter the dielectric strength of the fluid. The product is almost colorless and has a very low odor. It also has a relatively high flash point which helps to reduce the risk of fire. The low viscosity of the fluid results in good circulation through the spark gap, and may help with more rapid removal and settling of metal fines.
Dielectric fluid can be used in finish-cut electrical discharge (spark erosion) machining operations. It can be used in tool and die shops and in manufacturing of electronics, extrusions, aircraft components, hardware, tools, fasteners, silverware, cutlery, jewelry, appliances, valves, and regulators. Grinding fluid is also used in glass grinding operations.
Packing and Shipping:
C13 14 Isoparaffin is supplied in 210 liter steel drums or 950 liter IBC totes. The drums are UN approved, and the IBCs are equipped with a re-sealable cap. The drums and IBCs are placed on pallets and shrink-wrapped for shipping.
